Dilbert asserts his need

Staying on the Dilbert theme…

At least he tried to get his need for sympathy met! Perhaps if he’s tried saying, “My girlfriend said ‘I feel like you’re not trying to make me happy’ before. I feel sad and need some sympathy. Would you be willing to give me a hug?”

Hmm… is sympathy a need? I’m not so sure… perhaps he needs nurturing or compassion, rather than sympathy.
